Hello Everyone!!!

This is a bit delayed but I have safely arrived and settled into my apartment in Brooklyn, NY. Here are some pictures of my room:

Wide shoot look at my dresser

Close up of what can be found in and on my dresser

My lovely bed
Window view (adorable backyard view)

Laundry and such
Where I get ready in the morning
Where you can find my wardrobe (p.s. I LOVE THIS CLOSET)
More shoes
My clothing racks pull out so every morning I can look at all my clothes at once!

I wore this piece that I recently picked up at Forever 21 for my first day of work

So here is an inside look into my room in New York. It is adorable and I have picked up some great pieces to add to my collection. I love New York, the music, the fashion, the people, it is all wonderful. So far I have been to three shows: Ramone Birthday Bash, Earn It Yourself, and my favorite Panic! At The Disco, Foxy Shazam, and Fun. Oh what a night that was. I have met so many great people, and everyone at MusicSkins is wonderful. I finally had the delight that is Pinkberry which I have been to three times this week. The food here is incredible, anything you could ever want in one place. And even though I will not be able to afford her stuff for quite some time Anna Sui store is my dream world as well as these amazing heels I picked up from irregular choice. I’ve done a few campaigns for the syndicate

and hopefully on the road to establishing myself as a promoter in New York. I am volunteering with SummerStage and hopefully getting my hands dirty with some stage work while I am here. Also I may be doing 5 or 6 Warped dates(hopefully). I love this summer. I am so in love with everything here I never want to leave. It is all so wonderful. I have had a lot of phone trouble and it looks like I will be picking up an iPhone by the end of summer. r.i.p Blackberry. I really need to clean my room and pick up a book for subway rides.

I’ve been here two weeks and I am never home. I have somehow jam packed my schedule in one week of being here. I am not surprised since I am a workaholic. My insomnia has pretty much disappeared when my head hits the pillow i’m out(lets hope this does not jinx this) with walking everywhere my feet always hurt but you never feel it till you lay down. Trying to juggle everything back home and here has been a bit of a struggle but I am finally figuring it out.

Today I am finally hanging out with my roommates and were hitting up a rooftop barbecue which I am so excited for because I never see Sam or Alex cause my schedule is crazy and I love meeting new people. Sam has been educating us on make-up and showed me how I should where my make-up. Thank god. lol but i’ve got a bunch to do today and feel like I am rambling. I hope this answers everyone’s questions of where i’ve been and what i’ve been doing.

Signing Off.

This past weekend I had the opportunity of a life time and had a chance to attend Bamboozle New Jersey while working a tent for MusicSkins.

Now let me tell you about the last few days that completely changed my life:

Wednesday night I had a campaign for The Syndicate working The Avalanche Tour for Art Of Dying. I ran a meet n greet, hung up posters, passed out pictures, took pictures, networked, you know the usual promotional campaign. Had a blast!!!!! My mom drove up for the show and we had a great time! It was great for her to see some of her favorite bands Stone Sour, Theory of a Deadman, Skillet, Halestorm, and Art of Dying all in one show case. I was so exhausted but I still worked it! Then I went over my wonderful friend Eryn’s house and she drove me to the airport on one hour of sleep. I flew into LaGuardia airport in NYC the following morning.  Got to New York took my first cab to the subway then took the subway to Brooklyn and got to see my apartment where I will be living for the next three months. I met my landlord and fell in love with our apartment. From there I went to MusicSkins did some work in the office then a went Target and then back to Victoria (my friend I was staying with) dorm where I passed out.

Thursday morning I woke up headed to the office and from there we took a car to New Jersey to start my three day weekend at Bamboozle. We got there set up our tent.

Look at the amazingness that was MusicSkins tent!

Friday was great! Travis McCoy even came up to the tent and I gave him a skin for his ipad! Also discovered the coolest tour gadget ever.

Bomb credit card machine you just plug into your smart phone perfect for touring!!!

Here is a link where you can check out all of the bands that played . MusicSkins was located next too the Zumiez Stage and across from the Jolly Green Stage so I had the opportunity to see a ton of acts all weekend!!!! Friday had so many great band but the best was definitely New Found Glory with Marky Ramone.

Saturday was pretty awesome. I FINALLY got to see Taking Back Sunday. Did I mention they played Tell All Your Friends in its entirety? Well they did. 😉

Also got to check out A Loss For Words! Love those dudes. Met their management team Crimson Management, awesome people!

Sunday was obviously the best day! I mean Jack’s Mannequin ended up being the special guest plus Lil Wayne! and who got side stage for Motley Crue? That was me! This is a horrible picture but proof that this amazing moment happened.

I unfortunately did not get to catch Lil Wayne’s set but I saw so many amazing bands and met so many amazing people this weekend I was totally okay with that. I just wanted to give a special thanks to MusicSkins for letting me come out and to Victoria Morse for giving me a place to stay. I had a blast and can not wait to be in the office and see everyone on Warped Tour!

p.s. I love everyone at The Syndicate and it was great to hang with all of you this weekend!!!!!

I have never felt anything change me like this weekend. It’s a good change. I am extremely happy and still can not believe I move to New York City in one week. That is complete insanity. I have a wonderful life and it’s only going to get better from here on out.

If your a close friend of mine or follow me on twitter you may have noticed my slight obsession with Bright Eyes. So this past Monday when I finally had the chance to see Conor Oberst, needless to say I was in heaven.

I have been a huge fan of Bright Eyes since I was 14. For this day to come I just cant express the magic I felt. He is one of the greats of our time and I encourage you if you haven’t to check out Bright Eyes whether it be live or a cd it is definitely worth your time.

I wasn’t able to snap many great pics but I did grab one I really liked.

For the show I was able to reunite with one of my good friends Bri Manado.

And here is another pic Bri, Sara, Katie, and I.

This was one of the best performances I have ever seen. I didn’t care much for the setlist but it was still a magical experience. My fourteen year old self went heaven and the 20 year in me and was born.

On a side note as I mentioned I love fashion so I wanted you to get a sneak peak into my wardrobe with a pic from today:

Dress Urban Outfitters, Tights Charlotte Russe, Bracelets (I’ve collected all over the place), Earings Forever 21 paired with some cute oxford’s and a brown leather jacket.

Well that’s all for today. Rock n roll.

Hello everyone!

I wanted to properly introduce myself.

My name is Ashley Abdenour and yes I am related to the Pistons’ trainer.

I am a 20 year old student at Ferris State University studying Music Industry Management.

I have high hopes in living my dreams out on the road.

I have plans to move to New York this May and spend the summer living it up on the east coast with my best friend and this awesome girl named Sam.

I work for many companies as a rep, Live Nation Detroit, The Intersection, The Syndicate, and most recently MusicSkins.

I am going to start blogging here along with this awesome girl named Victoria Morse.

I also do freelance promotion and can pretty much conquer any job this industry throws at me.

I love music and fashion with a passion. (cute eh?)

I have literally the most amazing friends a girl could ask for and I live a wonderful life.

I like traveling and whenever I can afford a trip somewhere I take it.

I go to concerts constantly, I am a vegetarian, and I love cupcakes.

I love all music and love talking about music.

I’m approachable, young, and presently just trying to pass my 5th semester of college. (dual enrolled for a bit)

I recently took a spur the moment trip to NYC that changed my life and currently my biggest adventure to date.

I hope I can entertain you with my minor traveling and my abnormal college life.

This is me and I hope you like what you hear.
